or Dr. Suzanne R. Gleason, compassion has been the core of her business and personal
life. Retired now, she has not
abandoned that feeling for others that made her chiropractic health center successful.
aving initially been inspired by a nine-year-old girl,
Victoria—Toria—whose chemotherapy was about to begin, Dr. Gleason sought to reduce the psychological
impact Toria's inevitable hair-loss would have on her self-esteem. The doctor's idea was to design a hat
with hair, easy enough for a pre-teen like Toria to "throw on," that she could wear to avoid being self conscious in public. She
purchased several hats and a quantity of synthetic hair from local shops and began to sew. After some time,
she had arrived at a design that was both fashionable and durable.
ell, today, Toria is fine, but she won't give up her hat. And Toria's
friends want hats too—Fun Hats—to wear to parties, at the mall, and during play. Many adult women,
plagued by naturally thinning hair and more serious situations have also contacted "Dr. Suzie" recognizing that a hat-with-hair is
easier to put on more comfortably, and definitely more cost-effective than any other solution.
ere was a new business and another career for Dr. Gleason. Still driven
to help those with specific needs, she sees the smiling faces of the young girls and women sporting their Fun Hats With Hair
and has said, "This is the same business I've always been in; just a different direction."
Dr. Gleason has assembled a group of like-minded individuals to bring these hats to market. We thank you
for visiting our site, and hope that we can bring a smile to your face—and those you love—with a selection of hats that
fill your needs and bring joy to your lives.
